Place is nice, both indoors and outdoors. The staff is friendly. The food was delicious and freshly made but the portions are smaller than expected, as well in relation to its price.
Nice restaurant on the central square of Gouda. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy. Very comfortable seating and ambiance! The view of the square is very nice and on days like Saturday with the market very lively. The food was very good and the selection was ample. The only disappointing thing was the price. For a two person lunch it is above average for what we pay normally. I do recommend this restaurant though as the friendly staff makes up for the price.
Came here for lunch and I was very happy. Not crowded, nice place, friendly and prompt service. I had the grilled Gouda cheese and ham sandwich with the Lobster and seafood bisque. The food was really good, the bisque had a lot of flavor and was creamy and the sandwich was crunchy and cheesy. Also had a nice glass of rosé to go with the meal.
The food definitely tasted as delicious as they looked. The steak sandwich was perfectly done medium rare. Tender and flavourful. Chicken sate was excellent as well. Worth checking out when you’re in Gouda!
Nice atmosphere, good food, but unfortunately found a rubber band in the salad.
Great spot for people-watching and enjoying a light meal. We went with the gouda toastie (what Americans would call a Grilled Cheese) and a cheese plate, paired with wine. It was a perfect lunch with a beautiful view of the square.
